Kappa Mu Epsilon is a national mathematics honor society. Truman State is home to the MO Eta chapter. We have biweekly chapter meetings during the academic year. Officers meet biweekly, too.
Our next chapter meeting will be in late August, 2011.
News Update
Calling KME December Graduates
The University would like the names of the KME members who are graduating this December. If you are graduating this December, please email Dr. Miller by Friday so he can give the University the list of member names. The University will then list those names in a special place of honor in the graduation ceremony's program.
Annual MTCS Bondfire
KME is sponsoring the annual Math and CS Bonfire.
Come to the University Farm on Friday, 21 October, between 5:30 and 7:30 for hotdogs, s'mores, hot chocolate, and fun. This is a great bonding event for math and computer science students and faculty. Please take time to come and join us.
If you need a ride to the Farm, meet in the parking lot between C-Hall and Barnett (the huge empty lot across from DPS) at 5:15.
New Member Induction, 2011
Induction of new members happened on Saturday, 16 April, 2011.New members include:
- Samantha Ressler
- Erik Dauster
- Natalie Clark
- Colleen McNamee
- Sarah Weinhold
Each of these new members of the MO Eta Chapter of KME earned the honor of induction by taking mathematics courses, maintaining an exemplary GPA in those mathematics courses, and being active members of the local chapter of KME. When they graduate from Truman, they will be recognized as graduating with honors. Congratulate them on their induction!
